The most common fear in the treatment room
"I want to look better, but I do not want a different face." The fear of looking different is what comes up most in the first conversation, and it almost always comes from something the person has seen: an acquaintance who changed, a face online that ended up looking strange.
The fear is legitimate. Rejuvenating should not cost you your identity. The features that have always been yours are what make people recognize you from a distance, and they are not the problem to be corrected.
The good news is that a result that changes a person has identifiable causes. It is not luck or product: it is decisions. That is why the useful conversation starts at the assessment, understanding what your face has lost and what the plan proposes, so you stay recognizable to yourself and to the people around you.
Where the result that frightens people comes from
Results that change a person usually have similar origins, and none of them is the gel itself.
Volume where the problem shows, not where it begins
A fold treated when the cause was the cheekbone that descended tends to end up fuller than it should. That is the wrong place: the line changes, but support is still missing higher up, and the area feels heavy.
Corrections added up over the years
A touch-up here, another there, each decided on its own. Isolated applications by area change one area without considering the rest and, over time, the whole loses proportion. No single decision seems big, but the sum can be. That is also how a face reaches excess volume without anyone ever asking for volume.
Forgetting that the face moves
The face is not a photograph. Too much product in areas of strong expression, such as around the mouth, becomes evident when the person talks and smiles, even if it looks fine at rest.
What natural facial rejuvenation is
A natural result is not an invisible result. It is a face with more support and more freshness, where people notice you look well without being able to point at what changed.
The natural look, in this sense, has a practical criterion: your own features are still there, a little more defined, and support returns to where it had been lost. The goal is to rejuvenate without ceasing to be yourself.
There is a second criterion, which is time. A result that only works in the first week is of no interest. What Dr. Fred Fortes looks for is a face that can go on aging well over the years.
"It is not about filling. It is about art: respecting what is unique in each face."

What protects your identity in the planning
Three technical decisions do most of the work of preserving who you are.
A diagnosis of the whole face
The diagnosis looks at the face as a whole and defines what is included, in what order and with how much product. It may conclude that the origin of the concern is somewhere else, and it may conclude that some areas need nothing.
Support before design
Hyaluronic acid goes first to the deep support points, next to the ligaments that hold the face. This order of the stages is what makes the lifting effect come from support, not from volume at the surface. See how aging changes the support of the face.
Amount defined by the assessment
The amount is the one the face calls for, defined in the assessment, not a chart by area. At the end comes enhancement: the features that have always been yours, a little sharper, without exaggeration and without changing who you are.
What to ask at the assessment
Arriving with questions is the best way to reduce the fear. Some apply to any practice:
- What did the assessment find in my face, and what is the cause of my concern?
- What is the individual plan: which areas are included, in what order and why?
- Does the product have Anvisa registration and is it applied by a qualified professional?
- What happens if I do nothing now?
On your side, share your health history and every previous procedure on your face, even the old ones. And say your expectation out loud: anyone afraid of changing needs to say so, because that information goes into the plan. Be wary of proposals that define the amount before assessing your face, and of any promise of results made before looking at it.
Starting slowly is also an answer
Not every assessment ends in a procedure. Some faces need structure before anything else, and some faces do not need anything yet. If it does not make sense to apply anything that day, nothing is applied.
When it does make sense, the result is not settled all at once. There is the 60-day follow-up, with the gel already settled and the face seen without the swelling of the first days, for the fine adjustments. After that, annual maintenance uses about one third of the initial amount, adjusted to your moment in life.
This calendar exists precisely so that nobody has to bet everything on one session. The assessment takes place at N3F Clinic, in Brooklin, São Paulo, or during periodic appointments in Florianópolis.
