Same product, different reasoning
Many people find out, already in the treatment room, that facial filler and facial restructuring can use exactly the same hyaluronic acid gel. The difference is not in the syringe.
It is in the diagnosis that came before and in the planning that decides where the product goes, in what order and how much. The same gel can inflate an area or restore support to a whole face.
That is why comparing proposals by the number of syringes does not help. What separates the two paths is the reasoning, and it is the reasoning that defines how the face will look five years from now.
What facial filler is
In the most common use of the word, filler by area means treating the spot that bothers you. The person arrives with a main concern: the under-eye hollow, the nasolabial fold, the corner of the mouth that has dropped. The product goes right there.
It is a one-off answer, and sometimes it is exactly what the case calls for: a design detail, a small asymmetry, a correction that does not depend on the rest of the face.
The limit appears when the concern is a consequence of something else. Then the volume placed in the fold changes the symptom and leaves the cause where it was, higher up. The area becomes fuller than it should be and the whole loses lightness.
What facial restructuring is
Restructuring has another target. It starts from the reading that the face descends because it has lost support in the deep layers: bone that has undergone resorption, fat that has deflated or descended, ligaments that have become more evident.
Hyaluronic acid goes first to the deep support points, next to the ligaments that hold the face. This structural replacement restores the foundation. With a foundation, repositioning follows: what has descended goes back to a higher position, and that is where the lifting effect comes from.

The differences in practice
In the consultation, four points sum up what changes from one path to the other.
The diagnosis comes first
With filler by area, the concern defines the target. In restructuring, the diagnosis of the whole face defines the target, and it may be different from the spot that bothers you.
The order of the stages
The order of the stages is fixed in restructuring: structure, then repositioning, and last the fine design. Without the foundation, any other application is just makeup.
The amount

The follow-up
One-off touch-ups are isolated decisions, one at a time. In restructuring, the follow-up adjusts what the face calls for that year from a foundation that has already been planned, and the proportion between areas is preserved.
When the difference shows in the mirror
The day after, the two paths can look similar. The difference usually shows up later.

How restructuring works in the N3F® Protocol
In the N3F® Protocol, the path is always the same. The assessment reads the whole face, the plan defines what is included and restructuring is carried out in the same session, with hyaluronic acid only.
Then comes the calendar: a 60-day follow-up for the fine adjustments, once everything has settled, and annual maintenance with about one third of the initial amount, adjusted to each patient's moment. Some patients are in their ninth year of follow-up.
